Hi there, I'm Emily!
I am a User Experience Designer at AIB who believes the best products tell a simple, intuitive, compelling story. As a dual Irish/American citizen, I bring a global perspective to my work, appreciating diverse user behaviours and creating journeys that are not just visually appealing but deeply efficient and impactful. With a background in content writing, I make sure to add a powerful narrative touch into every design, crafting intuitive, accessible, and highly functional journeys that truly resonate with users.
User Experience Designer
AIB
May 2023 — Present
Dublin, Ireland
I lead the strategic design and end-to-end delivery of core mobile payments journeys for over 2.2 million users at AIB. This pivotal role involves owning the user experience for high-profile, complex payment journeys, including Zippay (an instant P2P service across Ireland's main banks) and the implementation of the SEPA Instant Payments program.
This work requires extensive collaboration and design alignment with senior business, engineering, BPFI, and legal stakeholders to ensure nationwide regulatory compliance and product clarity. I drive user-focused solutions by planning and leading research workshops, executing design from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity mockups (Figma/Sketch), and presenting clear, actionable insights that shape the development of accessible, real-time financial services.
Junior User Experience Designer
AIB

I executed research-backed, customer-focused journey designs across AIB’s digital platforms (web and mobile). I contributed significantly to the comprehensive redesign of the AIB Security Centre, focusing on improving user trust and accessibility. Simultaneously, I provided essential design support for complex mobile payments journeys, ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth feature integration.
I collaborated with cross-functional product and engineering teams to develop both low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity mockups using Sketch, InVision, and Figma. Furthermore, I played an active role in user research by planning and assisting with leading workshops and user testing, successfully translating findings into clear, actionable presentations that directly influenced final product development.
